Background:
My client is a Brussels based international bank looking for a Technical/Project Support person for the IT Security Management (ITSM) team. ITSM ensures that the technology infrastructure at the bank protects corporate assets from unauthorised access, modification, disclosure and destruction. ITSM is the service owner of the logical security domain and infrastructure through the implementation of security services and infrastructure, risk assessments, requirements setting, and active participation in the project delivery life cycle, as well as ensuring adequate processes and procedures for the security administration teams.
Tasks:
- The coordination of the day-to-day activities, managing team capacity and planning. Organising, managing and coordinating of technical activities (projects, operational). This responsibility ensures that adequate resources are available of the right skills at the right time.
- Monitor operational and project man-day budget in conjunction with the Team Leader. Assist the Team Leader in managing the overall resource planning.
- Ensure deadlines, priorities and service levels are defined and agreed with different stakeholders. Ensure these agreed services and are delivered, on time and budget.
- Drive the continuous development and improvement of tools, methodologies, work processes. Support the implementation of best practices in process improvements, eg. LEAN
- Ensure management information, periodic and ad hoc reporting and forecasting is in place and adds value in order to enable managerial decision-making and tracking of capacity and performance.
Skills:
You must have some experience with project/team management and ideally have worked in the IT security domain. Some knowledge of IT Security aspects will be a plus.
Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT operational Team management or IT Project Management environment with an excellent understanding of the Project Life Cycle (V-Model) is mandatory.
The role would suit a mid-level Project Manager (ie. this is not a Senior role) or an IT Security professional looking to broaden their career into technical project management.
