Seeking 2 new Senior Business Analysts to join our New POS development team and 1 Senior Business Analyst for Quality Management.
Senior Business Analyst for the New POS Team:
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst for the New POS team. This position will be responsible for the requirement analysis, design review and integrated testing of features that impact New POS, which is our Point of Sale software, in over 14,000+ locations. This individual will work with operations and various stakeholders in US Operations, QA, Support, Deployment, Legal, Security, Treasury, development teams and infrastructure teams to ensure our requirements are well thought out, well defined, and successfully implemented.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Gather requirements
  • Working with software product testing (change requests for software)
  • Planning, facilitation and follow up for key stakeholder meetings around feature/functionality.
  • Leading and driving out requirements, use case scenarios, impact assessments and cost/benefit analysis working with key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with US IT software teams to validate features through design reviews, testing.
  • Providing day-to-day coaching and mentoring of other Business Analysts.
  • Representing the right priority for issues and changes during defect management and change management processes.
Senior Business Analyst for Quality Management for the New POS Team

Seeking a Senior Business Analyst for Quality Management on the New POS team. This position will be responsible for the quality management aspects of new software releases including the organization and development of quality processes to analyze, track, prioritize and act on issues and defects coming from many different sources. This individual will work with various stakeholders in US Operations, QA, Support, Deployment, External Suppliers, Legal, Security, Treasury, development teams and infrastructure teams to develop a process and execute it with an ultimate goal for increasing quality of the New POS software product. The position will report to a Quality Manager for day-to-day direction and guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Working with stakeholder to determine what quality means to them and how to improve quality processes
  • Data Analysis, look at past info to determine improvements
  • Work with a team to define quality metrics
  • Facilitate the development of the quality management process including analysis of existing process, refining process to avoid breakpoints, facilitation of proposed changes to stakeholders for feedback and sign-off.
  • Assist in execution of quality management process including consolidation of issues, defects from many disparate sources into a format that can be presented for prioritization.
  • Participate in issue SWAT teams to help organize information ahead of time to ensure team clearly understands issue and impact to customer. Summarize meetings and next steps.
  • Work closely with functional BA's and technical teams to understand new features and provide input based on experience gathered in the quality management process to help avoid quality issues downstream.

Required Skills and Experience - Senior Business Analyst for the New POS Team:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience gathering and documenting requirements, facilitating meetings, and delivering results. This person must be a highly organized, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and have proven measurable experience with all aspects of the SDLC.
  • 7+ years IT experience
  • 5+ years as a business, technical or systems analyst
  • Bachelor's degree - Business or IT with related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, facilitate, and recap meetings
  • Experience working in a client-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Process mapping, workflow analysis, data modelling, and design tools experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to focus on details as well as the big picture
  • Experience identifying project tasks and providing estimates for those tasks
  • Basic project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere and promote standard business analyst tools, procedures and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Visio
  • Need someone who can work in a team environment
  • Must be a quick learner

Preferred Skills and Experience - Senior Business Analyst for the New POS Team:
  • IIBA business analyst certification
  • Prior technical/software development leading, analysis or testing experience
  • Experience working with and managing external vendors
  • Experience working with multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines
  • Project Lead experience
  • POS experience is not required but would be a plus
