Description

Responsibilities:
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support WAN, LAN, and WLAN.
  • Design WAN, LAN, WLAN architecture.
  • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, Firewalls, IPSec, and VPN tunnels.
  • Support Remote Offices and Jobsites for setup, connectivity, and teardown.
  • Supports business and technical initiatives and projects.
  • Review current and emerging technologies, recommending technology solutions to solve business needs.
  • Assures technical development of other team members through sharing of knowledge and experience.
  • Acts as technical project leader for small to medium size technical projects, creates project plan.
  • Researches, provides input into recommendations and justifies various hardware and software purchases and participates in determining hardware, software and administrative standards and procedures.
  • Participate in on call rotation.
  • Resolves complex help desk tickets and network problems.
  • Tracks and trends issues and drives resolution.
  • Monitors and tunes network performance and monitors network availability.
  • This position will report into Manager of Network and Infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five to ten years of relevant experience and specific experience with configuring and deploying Juniper network switches, Routers and VPN appliances including adding VLANs and routing protocols.
  • Riverbed and WAN optimization, load balancers, Checkpoint firewalls, QoS and VoIP.
  • Other qualifications include ability to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the network infrastructure and interrelationships between applications and the network and strong understanding and experience with troubleshooting tools such as protocol analyzers and bandwidth utilization reports.
  • In addition, strong problem solving and analytical capabilities, excellent written and verbal communications skills and prior proven track record of the ability to communicate technical messages to technical and non-technical audiences are required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related and Cisco CCNA certification required.
