My client who are a leading name in the Energy and Utility sector are currently looking for a Category Manager to join them.

Role:
The role of the Category Manager is to manage all procurement activities for ETAM Operate and Maintain Categories from "Source to Award" including some contract management of the contracts. The individual will act as a trusted business partner, bringing strategic insight and knowledge of the supply chain to drive innovative sourcing solutions.
The role will lead a team of procurement professionals located and will serve as the primary interface with the line of business for their category's

Experience Required:
* Strong relationship management skills, leveraged internally and to the external supply base
* Proficiency in stakeholder management and communications
* Strong negotiation skills and influencing skills
* Strong presentation and project management skills
* Strong team leadership skills to motivate and inspire the teams to deliver against
challenging business targets, developing a high performance team
* Skilled at developing and working with and through cross functional teams
* Ability to work with people across all functions and levels of an organisation
* Proficiency in using analytical tools and techniques; with the ability to develop and apply complex evaluation methodologies
* Expertise in category management and strategic sourcing execution with the ability to navigate the Utilities Contract Regulations to drive timely sourcing execution
