Description

Quantity Surveyor required for a leading global engineering company based out of Minley in the Farnborough area. The Commercial Surveyor position is to successfully manage both the commercial and Quantity Surveying functions, in conjunction with Financial/QS support to the members of the operational and other functional teams and to ensure appropriate controls are being followed.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial/QS management together with support to the members of the Infrastructure operational and other Functional teams. Ensure that all appropriate controls are followed throughout the contract.
  • To maintain a clear contract baseline, ensuring that any variations to contracts are fully documented and supported providing a clear audit trail.
  • Financial/Quantity surveying control of the works programme to ensure contractual conditions are achieved and to, identify and maximise financial return opportunities
  • Management of Financial pricing sheets, and Authority change notices, to ensure accurate and professional estimates are being presented to the Client
  • Production of Client/management/financial reports,
  • To provide accurate financial data on actual and projected cost/revenue.
  • To prepare, present and obtain Client agreement, to annual charges in respect of PPM and Reactive works, in accordance with agreed capped Financial values and contract conditions.
  • To ensure accurate records are kept in relation to the submission, completion and invoicing of works.
  • To liaise with the procurement section and ensure compliance with procurement procedures to prepare pre tender estimates for works.
  • To provide financial data, reports and information as required by the Commercial Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Either have appropriate breadth of experience or have already, or be working towards relevant Chartered status

Appropriate institutions include:-

  • Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB)
  • Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Other Requirements:

  • Relevant Quantity Surveying experience from Tendering through to Final account, in the construction industry particularly covering refurbishment projects, together with re active maintenance and PPM
  • Applicant to understand the principles of PPP Contracting and supply chain management
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 Form of Contract
  • Must have a current valid full Driving Licence and the ability to travel across RSME Contract
  • Actively participate as a member of the RSME team.
  • Take an active role in aligning to the current Investors in People (IiP) standard
