Description
My client, a leading global bank, is looking for a an experience financial accountant to assist in the external reporting of the group's financial accounts. The desired individual will have a strong understanding of financial reporting and developments within the accounting and regulatory environment.
Role responsibilities
- To collect complex financial information from multiple sites throughout the world and prepare consolidated results for the bank for reporting to Senior Executive Management and externally.
- To prepare reports for Senior Management and to provide consolidated financial information, analysis and commentary that fully describes and explains the financial performance of the Group.
- Assist in driving financial reporting process improvements delivering efficiency gains.
- Provide support and advice as required relating to financial reporting to the organisations finance teams throughout the Group.
- Preparation of primary statements, notes and other disclosures for the Annual Report & Accounts and Interim Report
- Preparation of Monthly management information
- Preparation or review of ad hoc information, reports, and presentations
- Implementation of new reporting requirements and controls to the Group reporting process.
Requirements
- Recognised professional accountancy qualification is essential
- Some experience of Saracen/Hyperion is desirable
- Some experience of Project/Process redesign or similar is desirable
- An awareness of developments in accounting and regulatory environment
- Strong spreadsheet skills
- Ability to deal with and analyse unstructured problems and queries and to question and challenge existing procedures.
- FINREP exposure would be an advantage
