This is an exciting new vacancy from an established global business, an innovative leader in their field; we are welcoming applications from experienced Print Technicians within any field.

This is a one off opportunity for a key client of Huxley Engineering and you will not find this position anywhere else.

Due to the increase in sales and projects we are now looking to hire a Senior Print Technician to work at the headquarters in the North East of England.

The Print Technician works with engineers to conduct experiments and to assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process using scientific instruments and mass production diagnostic equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate semi-automatic screen printing press, drying and curing equipment in manufacturing and laboratory environments
  • Ensure the maintenance, calibration and proper production settings for screen printers and related equipment for optimal sensor production
  • Support the manufacture of QTC materials following standard operating procedures
  • Perform regular control checks using hands-on problem solving skills as process or equipment issues arise
  • Write and update detailed process, equipment, tool operation and maintenance specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define and solve process development, process quality and process efficiency problems
  • Ensure safe operations and work environment for him/herself and his/her co-workers in all work areas


Working environment:
  • Operate in a clean room environment wearing full lab suits and respiratory-protection equipment
  • Handle chemicals with established knowledge of safe handling and storage procedures, working in a fume hood and shielded booth
  • Operate presses, lasers, vacuum lamination, robots, and other manufacturing and test equipment
