Network Implementation Engineer
Basra, Iraq
Rotation - 28/28 days

The Network Implementation Engineer will be required to deliver the technical aspects of project within the timescales, maintaining its quality and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards and policies. Producing detailed handover and support documentation to operations and providing internal training to operations staff where appropriate.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure project objectives are met and project managers are informed of progress
- Highlight potential delays and seek solutions to overcome these
- Actively participate in project meetings
- Provide timely updates to the project delivery technical team lead
- Adhere to governance structures and change control processes and submit the appropriate CRF in a timely manner
- Produce detailed project documentation and handover to operational teams
- Provide 3rd line operational support for newly delivered projects.
- Assist the Network Team Lead with designs.
- Provide internal training to operations team members on new systems
- Ensure that new systems and processes are compatible and in line with existing infrastructure and methodologies
- Work closely with Infrastructure Project Manager's to provide the following:
- Conduct site surveys, gather and ensure accuracy of the statement of requirements as defined by the Project Manager
- Assist in developing and writing the passive infrastructure scope of work for specific projects/sites
- Provide technical intra and inter site fibre and UTP design drawings
- Develop all project Bill of Materials (BOM) in relation to project SOW and design drawings
- Ensure compliance of BOM with project standards
- Conduct testing and acceptance walkthroughs upon project completion using the project acceptance checklist, ensuring compliance with all standards

Criteria & Qualifications
Essential
- University level education preferably in Engineering/IT or related discipline.
- Cisco CCNP
- Strong Implementation experience of Cisco data networks
- Strong understanding of latest Cisco standards and ratified designs. With particular focus on Campus, DataCenter and Wireless.
- ITIL Foundations
- Proven track record in a project delivery team role
- Proven track record in delivering large IT projects in challenging timescales
- Proven ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision
- Proven track record in producing project handover documentation

Desirable
- Experience in a similar role in an oil/gas company
- CCIE Voice or equivalent.
- Experience with Cisco Prime
- Experience with voice and security technologies and infrastructure.
- Experience with RF technologies and infrastructure
