Manufacturing Engineer - HMScapp & DMS
A Manufacturing Engineer with HMScapp & DMS experience is required to work on a five month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire.
This is a 5 month contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Manufacturing Engineer contract role
To provide manufacturing instructions in the form of ASO build stages for all elements of the major unit assembly lines at Samlesbury & to engineer all sub-assemblies & define CoS (Condition of supply) for all detail parts.
Key skills required for the Manufacturing Engineer
A short to medium term requirement exists within the Typhoon Major Units Manufacturing Engineering team to take part in the transfer of work previously undertaken outside of the Typhoon Major Units business.
This activity requires the management and engineering of multiple detail parts and sub-assemblies into the operations team as well as supporting the embodiment of changes that arise as a result of the first article verification activities.
Mechanical manufacturing engineers required at the Warton site to support a process improvement in Typhoon Final assembly. The engineers will be required to provide Mechanical Manufacturing engineering instruction to all aircraft snags, breakdowns & robberies as work packages in DMS.
Knowledge of mechanical installation on aircraft is required along with competence in the use of engineering toolsets such as HMScapp & DMS. SC CLEARANCE REQUIRED
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds.
