Finance Manager Campaigns
Newport
Six Month Contract

A Financial accountant with experience of providing support to Bids, Campaigns and projects is required with the following skills and experience:

*Actively manage the financial evaluation process relating to defined new business and strategic partnership opportunities, in line with Client guidelines for the Bid Approval Process
*Actively manage the costing process to ensure timely/accurate input from operational & technical (non-finance) contributors.
*Analyse costs into project Work Breakdown Structure as appropriate.
*Undertake variance analysis, understand and communicate key movements within the cost base.
*Liaise with key project and risk managers to ascertain delivery and financial risks and ensure these are appropriately provided against.
*Develop, maintain and ensure integrity of evaluation models and associated audit trails.
*Actively manage financial support to sub-contract management, in the management of sub-contract relationships on an ongoing basis (reporting/cost analysis etc)
*Develop and maintain complex pricing/revenue models including the derivation and recommendation of customer pricing options.
*Actively conduct Investment appraisal including the use of DCF techniques.
*Conduct sensitivity analysis with regard to cost and pricing/revenue scenarios
*Provide financial advice to support project team in the decision making process.
*Make financial recommendations based upon financial evaluation output, including the pro-active input of information for customer and supplier negotiations as appropriate.
* Preparation and presentation of necessary financial output to support UK board and Group corporate approval processes as necessary.
*Business and Organisational change, ensuring that financial support and management to new business and incremental business are designed and implemented in line with these requirements
*Achievement of OP Targets - Orders, Revenue and Cash
*DS and DCS central new business and campaign initiatives and new information requirements
* Ensuring that both existing and new systems implementations are supported and optimised to improve new business financial information management
*Preparation and presentation of New Business Financial data to aid external negotiations
*Financial acumen and understanding is improved across all functional areas of the organisation

The role is a wide ranging one that requires interaction with individuals both in the UK and across the organisation.

The role requires coordination, preparation and reporting of data within Finance, the Bid or Campaign itself, and across the wider organisation, requiring communication with a diverse selection of individuals from Cost Centre Managers up to Board Members.

The responsibilities require additionally the coordination preparation and reporting of data across the organisation, requiring close communication with the Functional and LOB management.

Customer communication and co-ordination of information responses is a required element

Requirements:

The role requires a wide range of tasks to be performed eg -
*Preparation, analysis and reporting of Bid Financials and Costs-to-Complete in a consistent manner
*Understanding the Bid or Campaign under tender, and how the project delivery schedule and issues are reflected within the financial data
*Opportunity and risk management of financial and business data, with a view to achieving short, medium and long term term results
*Liasing with all levels of the Bid or Campaign delivery team, focusing senior management attention on material risk areas to be addressed
*Development and coordination of business plans to influence the long term strategy of the Project or Contract.
*Support and analysis of strategic decision making to include potential major new contract negotiations and incremental business

Please give a brief description:

*Management of diverse and complex business relationships across both UK and centrally
*Preparation of Bid financial data and results to strict and demanding Client and customer deadlines
*Coordination and delivery of both short term and long term business plans
*Prioritisation of demanding and sometimes conflicting data requests
*The ability to pick up and deliver complex urgent business requirements outside the scope of normal operational requirements
*Management and delivery of business change
*Management and development of a professional team in a very demanding environment
*Maintaining Finance functional independence whilst working as part of an integrated and efficient bid team

Skills

*Preferably ACCA, ACMA or ACA with 5 years plus post qualification experience
*Detailed experience of Bid and Project financial management and Financial modelling - involvement in the delivery of large, complex projects with significant client interaction
*Ability to coordinate and communicate within a complex business model, across all levels of the organisation
*Ability to coordinate and communicate directly with external customer personnel, across all levels of the organisation
*Experience of business change management
*Experience of supporting and analysing business decision making
*Microsoft Office - Particularly Excel & Word, Essential. SAP experience
*Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of output
