I have an excellent opportunity for a Investment Analyst to work for a major company based in Warwick.

Job Purpose:

To provide investment appraisal support to the NGET investment process. Using and developing the existing processes in order to consolidate multi disciplinary information into one common investment appraisal on an NPV basis.

This will involve working with Engineers in order to understand the issues at hand and ensure that they are quantified financially and included in the option analysis.

It will also involve identifying the key sensitivities with each investment and finding a way to explain the impact of the key variables, providing tipping points and boundaries for variables clouded by uncertainty.

There is also expected to be a level of ad-hoc support provided based on the topical priorities of the Investment Decision Support team.

*Proven accounting experience and commercially minded
*Broad range of financial or management accounting experience within a well established finance department or directorate
*Broad knowledge of mainstream financial systems (SAP, BI, Ellipse would be an advantage), business activities, commercial and regulatory environment
*Exceptional communication, presentation, influencing and analytical skills, coupled with sound financial and commercial acumen
*A track record illustrating trusted support and advice to managers across the business
*Ability to demonstrate initiative and sound judgement
*Good appreciation of wider energy sector issues from a regulatory, commercial and political sense with the ability to consider the implications. Looking for a qualified accountant
*Support the investment paper process by inputting quality NPV analysis
*Attend investment team meetings to understand the options for an investment
*Steer the investment team to ensure the options being considered are appropriate
*Understand and quantify costs associated with an option outside of the initial investment costs
*Model investment options using NPV tool
*Apply appropriate sensitivities to the model based on the specifics of the investment
*Support the investment paper process by performing basic checks on financial inputs
*Assist with analysis and information gathering associated with broader investment decision support team goals
