Description

EMEA Head of CCVAL Control and MI is required to a join a well established team within Clearing, Collateral, Valuations, Asset Protection and Cash and Liquity Management of Operations.

The EMEA Head of CCVAL Control and MI will be reporting to the Global Head based in London.

The CCVAL Control and MI Team are responsible for proactively reducing the Operational Risk within all functions by providing guidance, oversight and risk mitigation using a control framework that includes deep dive reviews, centralised co-ordination of control policies and timely risk metrics that drive actions to remediate deficiencies

Primary Responsibilities of the Role:

1. Issue investigation/deep dives resulting in actionable recommendations.

2. Interface with Audit, Compliance and Operations Control and Risk to ensure completion of obligations such as SOX, Audit Points and Regulatory Reporting

3. Working with peers in APAC and the Americas in developing the Risk Framework by mapping inherent risk to controls, assessing residual risk and improving the control and efficiency of the business processes with recommendations that read across the functions and regions

4. Building out the MI offering to facilitate management of residual risk, face off with Operations-wide strategic MI plans and leading the metrics streams within new business and change requirements for the department

5. Working in partnership with Line Risk Management to ensure that the banks control objectives, as cascaded through LRM, are implemented effectively within CCVAL

6. Representing CCVaL in all control forums ie Change programmes, Front Office, Audit etc

  • Solid people, client and project management experience
  • Organized and structured approach with good presentation skills
  • Deep understanding and experience of risk framework and policy implementation.
  • Exposure to SOX, Audit, Regulatory reporting processes.
  • Experience in performing assessments of control environments and making recommendations.
  • Understanding of key risk metrics, client requirements for effective business management and the ability to articulate and challenge the requirements to providing transparency to management information
