Description
My client, a leading global bank, is looking for an experienced tax reporting specialist.
The Role
- To lead the reporting of taxes across Europe
- Ensure the Bank is compliant with the International Accounting Standard for Tax (IAS12)
- Ensure appropriate and accurate tax disclosures are internally and externally made, notably in the UK.
- Support all sites in accounting for and reporting tax accurately both internally and externally and in accordance with the Group's tax reporting policies and processes.
- To ensure all tax reporting deliverables for the UK Group are accurately met.
- To identify and implement opportunities for improvements in the tax reporting processes.
- To carry out appropriate and effective deep dive reviews of the tax assets and liabilities maintained in key entities.
- To support the MI team with tax inputs into the forecast and PRA stress testing processes.
- To manage the relationship with external auditors.
Requirements
- Qualified tax professional (preferably Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Institute of Taxation or equivalent).
- Specialist knowledge and experience in IFRS tax reporting..
Specialist experience in financial services preferred
