An exciting opportunity has arisen at an ever growing company within Greater Manchester for a Support Engineer. With great training opportunities it is an ideal role for an individual to progress within a brilliant organisation. As a Support Engineer you will assist the IT Consultants in providing technical support to 3rd party clients, by following technical procedures, reviewing tickets and solving the issues remotely then documenting the call on their bespoke RT system.This particular role is an initial 12 month contract with a view to be taken on as a permanent member of staff, as the company want an individual who is keen to learn and progress throughout the company rapidly.
Job title - Support Engineer
Rate - £10.50 per hour OR salary circa £18,000 - £20,475 p.a
Start date - ASAP
Contract length - 12 months+
Location - Greater Manchester
Duties - 70% Desktop support/30% on site
Essential skills:
- Experience of dealing with phone and desk-side support for people at all levels of the business.
- Full clean driving license
- Excellent written communication
- Proven ability to follow procedures and written instructions
- Proven ability to document their work to a high level using a support management system
- A working knowledge of Windows
- Experience of documenting your work within a professional environment
Desirable:
-2 years experience of working in a corporate IT department (ideally professional services or other business which has some vertical market applications like Law, finance or property, ideally multi-site)
- Experience of working with 3rd party clients
