My client in Belgium is seeking a Stress engineer with 3+ years' experience for an initial 3-6 month contract to be based in Belgium.

The role is for 3-6 months initially with the potential to extend beyond this point.

The suitable candidate should have experience relating to the following;

1. Recent working on Aircraft structures sepcifically - Flaps/Slats
2. Stress methods applied to both metallic/composites structures, good knowledge of Finite Element Modelling. Knowledge on the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analyses and the airworthiness regulations would be an asset.
3. Tools: SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN, CATIA V5, Microsoft tools, Unix work stations.

Due to the urgency of this position it is important that you have experience covering the above requirements.

Some key information regarding the position is as follows:

Rate: Negotiable
Location: Belgium
Duration: 6 months + with a view to extend

Required experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in stress office for structural analysis of aircraft structures.

Skills: mechanics, stress methods applied to both metallic/composites structures, good knowledge of Finite Element Modelling (SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN). Knowledge on the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance analyses and the airworthiness regulations would be an asset.

Tools: SAMCEF and/or NASTRAN, CATIA V5, Microsoft tools, Unix work stations.
