Description

Key Accountabilities
* Develop and implement detailed risk and control assessments (RCAs) to cover Financial Markets and underlying desks as per the LBG operational risk framework.
* Assist Financial Markets in their compliance with the Group's policies, procedures and guidelines together with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements where appropriate, implementing actions to protect the Group's business at all times.
* Use RCAs and other inputs and to support the Control Effectiveness Review (CER) in line with Group requirements.
* Provide specialist business support to Financial Markets relating to business process controls (both effectiveness and risk appetite). Where appropriate, educate on control best practice.
* Involvement and support of business risk reviews.
* Undertake thematic reviews (in support of RCA or ad hoc) to identify and address weakness and/or process inefficiencies.
* Support Financial Markets in completion of risk event forms and perform root cause analysis of operational failures, issue or events and recommend actions to ensure effective controls are in place.
* Develop and stretch yourself and the team, build the talent pipeline and expand organisational capacity.
* Be a role model for demonstrably living the LBG values & behaviours.
Key Skills & Knowledge
* Strong understanding of financial markets products(FX, Rates, MM, Credit)
* Experience and knowledge of front-back risks and controls
* Qualified accountant, professional with prior experience in Front office business management/Internal audit specialising in financial markets, middle office roles
* Experience of interacting with a number of stakeholders and the ability to influence and successfully challenge management to achieve an effective control framework.
* Evidenced written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrable ability to partner across different teams and influence and align colleagues and stakeholders.
