Procurement Analyst - Procurement, Supply Chain, Processes, ERP
A Procurement Analyst with Procurement, Supply Chain, ERP and Processes skills/experience is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth
This is an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client's team within the role of Procurement Analyst. The ideal candidate will use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance category management processes, and will be responsible for assembling data, analysing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations.
Overview of the Procurement Analyst contract role
Key Duties
- Gathers and interprets relevant data from primary and secondary sources (category spend, aggregation/consolidation, bid responses etc.)
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions.
- Analyse using statistically techniques and present findings in graphical and numerical format.
- Develops periodic performance reports and works with Source to pay team in order to standardise reporting.
- Provides support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals and category leads Evaluation of market conditions, trends, etc.
Key skills required for the Procurement Analyst
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Broad range of computer skills, (database, spreadsheet, statistics applications)
- ERP software packages; eSourcing
- Understanding of contracts
- Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change
- Excellent project management skills
- Organised with attention to detail
- Ability to Influence
- Good at building relationships - stakeholder management
- Knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain systems and processes
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester
