Supplier Compliance Specialist - Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Compliance
A Supplier Compliance Specialist with Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Compliance skills/experience is required to work on a ten month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Glasgow
Overview of the Supplier Compliance Specialist contract role
To manage all procurement/supply chain governance activities associated with a defined area. The role includes the development of procurement/supply chain strategies and plans, and the associated engagement and management of the supplier compliance model and other stakeholders to deliver project/business objectives.
- Prepare Procurement/Supply Chain strategies to deliver effective supplier evaluation and approval processes
- Effectively manage and develop existing in-house processes to ensure supplier compliance.
- Identification of additional requirements for Naval Ships relating to Supplier Compliance
- Manage out-sourced supplier compliance provider
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure their buy-in to proposed process improvements
- Drive root cause analysis and lessons learned opportunities
- Ensure 3rd party service reporting delivers the service and management reports that the business requires on time
Key skills required for the Supplier Compliance Specialist
- Experience of working in a Procurement/Supply Chain environment
- Detailed and solid understanding of supplier compliance and approval processes
- Active support to the team's Safety Health and Environment activities
- Manage risks and opportunities across the supplier compliance and approval work stream
Key Technical Skills
- Experience of Procurement/Supply Chain Department
- Experience of managing supplier compliance and approval models
- Subject matter expert on Supplier Compliance
- Experience of preparing Reports
- Change management experience
- Process analysis and improvement experience
- Experience of Risk and Opportunity management
- Understanding of change programmes
- Working understanding of tool sets and IT
- Detailed approach to data management and analysis
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh
