Network and Security Engineer (Cisco) (Juniper) (f5)
As a Network and Security Engineer (Cisco) (Juniper) (f5) you will maintain secure data center network connectivity.The Network and Security Engineer (Cisco) (Juniper) (f5) maintains and manages all network solutions such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, security and intrusion detection appliances and related software. The role requires relevant certifications from Cisco (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) and Juniper, experience in network management and monitoring, ability to work independently and excellent communication skills in English and Dutch.
- Maintain secure data center network connectivity
- Set up and maintain secure network connectivity for Servers and other IT infrastructure components in development, testing, acceptance and production environments
- Maintain virtualized and physical LAN connectivity
- Work with the security team to maintain and monitor network security setup - Firewall & DMZ
- Configure, manage and monitor Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switching and routing solutions
- Configure, manage and monitor the Juniper range of Firewalls and security products
- Setup and maintain Bluecoat Proxy Servers and F5 load balancers
- Maintain network designs and document secure network connectivity to external parties
- Support incident management in analysis, prioritization, diagnosis, timely resolution and closure of incidents related to network and security
- Provide inputs to CAB in review of changes and their impact on network and security
- Provides inputs to access management to define access levels and authorization related to network and security
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the network and security related configuration items in the CMDB
- Work with network and security product vendors for support, latest updates and patches
- Deploy patches and upgrades to network and security components
- Create and maintain documentation for network components and services
- Monitor and track key performance measures such as latency, throughput, etc and provide reports to customers, management and stakeholders
- Provide reports on security issues, prioritization, turnaround times aimed at continuous improvement of network security
- Ensure compliance of the internal/external network standards, regulations, principles and guidelines

- Experience in configuring and managing
- Cisco Switches and Routers
- Juniper security solutions
- F5 load balancers
- Bluecoat Proxy Servers
- Possesses knowledge of network security
- In-depth knowledge and experience with load balancing, intrusion detection, routing and switching and virtualization techniques
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certified
- Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-FWV)
- BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) - Advanced topics training
- In depth knowledge of:
- Routing (OSPF, BGP, Redistribution)
- Switching (VLAN's, Etherchannels, Spanning-tree)
- VRF
- VRRP/HSRP
- DNS/DHCP
- Virtualization (VSS, virtual Firewalls)
- Load balancing techniques
- Multicast
- MPLS
- Intrusion detection
- Security (CoPP, port security, TACACS, VPN, Encryption)
- Proxy Servers
- Network management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Works, Cisco ACS, Juniper Network Security Manager
- Experience with Global WAN vendors (Verizon, KPN, Colt etc.)
- ITIL certification/knowledge
