Description
A large NHS organisation and repeat client in the Hampshire area is looking for another contract Clinical Coder to help come in a reduce a small to medium backlog of work.At present they have a large coding team and due to a number of vacancies are looking to add another contractor to the team.
The contract is for an initial 3 months with a high possibility of being extended for a further 3 months. The day rate is £240 p/d.
The successful Clinical coder will be responsible for translating written diagnosis and operations in an acute environment within hospital case notes; the conversion of case notes into alpha numeric codes using classification standards
You do not have to be ACC qualified to be considered for this role.
Essentials:
* Experience with Clinical Coding in a NHS environment (2+ years)
* Refresher course within the last 3 years
* Knowledge of Coding Systems such as Medicode, Citrix, Compucare, Simplecode or PAS systems
Desirable:
* Taken you NCCQ exam and gain the ACC accreditation
* Experience within a large NHS Clinical Coding department
