Description

Are you an experienced financial accountant with securitisation experience within financial services? Do you have solid knowledge of securitisation structures and securitization accounting?

Our Client is a large financial services business based in the North West.

The Role:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Securitisation Technical Accounting Manager to work within the financial reporting team, meeting statutory, regulatory and securitization reporting and financial control requirements.

This will include:

    • Manage a team of five qualified and part-qualified accountants, delivering external reporting for securitisation vehicles and associated legal entities within the structure.
    • Provide technical advice and support to the team, reviewing complex transactions and advising on the accounting treatment.
    • Support the month end process, providing oversight on reconciliations and reporting to bring in line with best practice.
    • Manage the regulatory reporting processes for c50 FSA returns (quarterly, bi-annual and annual) and over 20 BOE returns (monthly and quarterly)
    • Provide review and challenge to existing reporting processes and reconciliations, instilling a culture of strong control throughout the team
    • Provide technical support for accounting projects as required
    • Provide technical training on securitisation structures and accounting as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, preferably from a Big 4 background with in depth knowledge of securitisation structures and securitisation accountin
  • Strong external reporting background
  • Experience of providing training and support to teams on complex accounting
  • Experience preparing accounting policy papers for senior review as well as explaining complex transactions for non-financial colleagues
  • Ability to undertake, review and advised on significant and complex financial analysis of activities
  • Knowledge of the industry's regulatory environment and accounting standards.
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating a team to improve business performance
  • Experience of working within a pressured environment and to tight timescales
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills.

Location - North West

Duration - 3 months initially

Rate - up to £500.00 per day
