Commercial Manager
12 Month Contract
Up to £450 per day
North England

My client, a leading public sector organisation, is seeking to recruit a skilled Commercial Manager to join their team in the North of England. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the contract, including providing commercial support to the Senior Contract Manager. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience as working as a contract management practitioner as well as a good knowledge of procurement legislation.
Key Knowledge and Skills
*Ensuring that contractors meet their contractual performance obligations and initiation of remediation mechanisms agreed in the contract;
*Ensuring that the Supplier's delivery model and processes meets the requirements as specified in schedules 7 and 8 of the contract;
*Monitoring spend, providing assurance over payment and invoicing processes;
*Assessing and progressing requests or requirements for contract changes;
*Monitoring, resolving and escalating issues likely to become contractual disputes;
*Monitoring set up and operation of supply in chain in accordance with stewardship principles;
*Monitoring and escalating breach events;
*Monitoring performance against SL targets, service credits and validating relief events;
*Monitoring key market and financial indicators;
*Agreeing, testing and maintaining contingency plans to ensure business continuity
Key Knowledge and Skills
*Qualified purchasing professional (MCIPS);
*Member of, or studying for membership of, the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM);
*Working towards membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS); or
*Relevant degree, such as in law or finance, MBA; or
