Interim Contract Manager - 3 Months - Start ASAP

My client, a CCG located in London, are looking for a Contracts Manager for a initial 3 months assignment with the potential to extend.

Role: Interim Contract Manager

Location: London

Rate: £350 - £425

Start date: ASAP

The day to day duties of the Contracts Manager will be:

* Work with host commissioning lead to ensure that the Trust's interests are preserved in contract negotiations with other Commissioning CCGs.

* Act as a key stakeholder in discussions with the CCGs or their representatives to reconcile datasets and respond to CCG queries. To work with the Contract Information Team to ensure that Trust datasets are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the CCGs in order to maximise Trust income.

* Work closely with key CCGs and their representatives, other Commissioners and the Contracts Information Team to manage a coherent approach to the analysis and monitoring of progress against commissioned plans and delivery mechanisms.

* Describe in detail highly complex facts or situations requiring analysis and present options relating to possible solutions

* Interpret national and local policy and planning guidance that impact on the Contracting interests of the Trust and feed relevant developments to the Trust Directors and operational and service managers.

* Work closely with the Contracts Information Team to ensure that routine and timely monitoring information is available against agreed monitoring requirements and highlight any performance issues to the Head of Contracts and Head of Performance.

* Ensure the Trust is fairly rewarded from each commissioner for the activity it is required to perform.

* Provide adequate support to contracting meetings and co-ordinate links with key stakeholders within and outside the Trust. To deputise for the Head of Contracts at meetings as necessary.

Requirements of the Contracts Manager:

* contracts management experience at an CCG is essential

* Background in negotiating high value NHS Contracts

* Proven ability to lead & chair meeting with high level board members & stakeholders

* Persuasive nature

* Stakeholder engagement skills

* Experience of making a significant contribution to an contracts function
