Description

Position purpose:
  • The pharmacovigilance and technical advisor will provide technical support and product information of a consistently high standard to both internal and external customers.
  • The main purpose of the role will be to ensure customer satisfaction, the pharmacovigilance and technical advisor will contribute to the achievement of teh business groups goals, in particular to be recognised as a centre of excellence.
  • The individual will also be responsible for recording and investigating Adverse Events that are reported to him/her.
  • the Pharmacovigilance and technical Advisor will not only participate in the pharmacovigilance functions of technical services but will also be responsible for ensuring that the legal requirements of pharmacovigilance are adhered to.


Main objectives of the function:
  • To be viewed as a provider of accurate and reliable information, enhancing the company's reputation of being ethical, responsible and trustworthy.
  • To ensure that Pharmacovigilance systems in place in the regional areas focused on are up to date, efficient and compliant, capable of undergoing audits by internal and external agencies.


Major tasks and responsibilities:
  • Provide and promote a high standard of technical support and customer service for internal and external enquiries.
  • Record, Investigate and report all adverse events in relation to the product portfolio.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining the company's Pharmacovigilance system.
  • Ensure compliance on Pharmacovigilance systems in relation to regional legal and regulatory authorities.
  • Full participation in roles and objectives of technical services group.
  • Maintain operational effectiveness
  • Ensure that all actions meet requirements of corporate compliance.


Qualifications (Education and skills requirements):
  • Qualified veterinary nurse or Veterinary Surgeon (minimum requirement)
  • Minimum of three year's experience in UK Veterinary practice.
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office minimum)
  • Drivers Licence (UK)
