Description

Summary
  • This position provides support and management of the Windows Server environments, hosting over 375 Servers worldwide.
  • This resource will be responsible for providing key technical support and administration to the Windows infrastructure as well as Window -based application teams.
  • This position requires an on- site resource for regular face-to-face interaction with our Business Partners who support applications that are used by customers, such as Loan IQ & Finance Express.
As a server administrator, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Create/Administer/Troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policies
  • Provide planning, coordination, and implementation of server installations, upgrades, routine maintenance and vendor supplied patches in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Prepare security reports and documentation
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
  • Serve as the primary contact for critical and high server based outages and communicates the status of the outage to infrastructure management which may include after hour support
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, Installation Qualifications, and documentation adhering to industry best practices
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels; provide performance statistics and reports
  • Define and perform server backups and recovery procedures; participate in development, testing, and implementation of business continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Prioritize and respond to issues as appropriate
  • Provide timely response to escalations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other functional areas within IS to ensure reliability of IS infrastructure
  • Strong customer service orientation, proven ability to pay attention to details and proven dependability
  • Interact with immediate supervisor, team lead, team members, customers, and users on a daily basis.
  • Participate in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
  • Works under only general direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions
  • Provide support to users and troubleshoots/resolves problems
  • Follow the ITIL standard for all Change Requests, Incidents, and Requests for Service, as documented by company's internal change controls
SKILLS:

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DNS & DFSR
  • Proficiency with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Batch, CMD Prompt
  • Experience with User Account Management Experience with System Logging, Auditing, & Automation of Administrative tasks
  • Experience with Shared Drive provisioning & maintenance (NTFS permissions)
  • Experience with Enterprise Backup & Restore Processes (Familiarity with NetBackup or VEEAM a plus)
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated equipment
  • Experience with server management in a global enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of various enterprise environments utilizing the following technologies: Windows Server 2008R2+ and VMWare
  • Knowledge of best practices for Windows Server installation and administration
