Works Service Engineer - Facilities, building services, construction management
A Works Service Engineer with facilities, building services or construction management is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Lancashire.
This is a 12 month contract working for UK defence business.
Overview of the Works Service Engineer contract role.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager the individual will be responsible for the management, definition, selection and implementation of a wide range of facilities and estates projects including: key infrastructures, utilities, building refurbishments, accommodation upgrades, manufacturing plant and equipment and site rationalisation work. UK travel may be necessary with extended periods away from the home site as the work requires.
Key skills required for the Works Service Engineer.
- Proven Project Management, Facilities, Construction, Plant and Equipment and Estates experience.
- Good supplier management and communication skills are essential with sound and demonstrable awareness of Construction and/or Plant & Equipment Health & Safety management.
- Ideally a background in facilities, building services, or construction is required, however other disciplines will be considered.
- Ideally the applicant should hold a HNC/HND qualification in a relevant engineering, facilities or construction related discipline.
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds.
