Description
My client is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer with a small aspect of contracts support.The position is for a minimum of 12 months.
They are currently working on maintenance projects for a gas storage plant.
You will also assume the lead on the implementation of smaller engineering improvement projects on behalf of the engineering team with involvement from the initial concept through to commissioning.
The post holder will ideally have:
* an Engineering HND / Degree level qualification with extensive knowledge, skills and experience (appropriate engineering discipline or business) in asset management;
* SAP PM Proficient
* Maintenance experience in a Process Industry
* Influential communicator
* ability to demonstrate equivalent commercial / financial appreciation
* an ability to work effectively in a high performing team
* an understanding of gas storage / process operations
* contract management skills to enable effective working relationships;
* planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, resource management and a long term strategic focus
* an extensive understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation and standards; qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate standard and knowledge of the requirements of COMAH
* a strong understanding of the health, safety and environmental aspects of the management of external service providers activities; planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising, resource management and a long term strategic focus.
