Operations Administrator

This is a position within the Operations team of a leading Investment Bank in London, providing Account Opening and Maintenance activities for new and existing clients. The candidate will support the staff handling Account Fulfilment, Client communication and QA function and will be an effective back up taking over complete activities in their absence.

Assist with day-to-day operational requirements in account Opening team including set up, maintenance and closures of new accounts.

Provide support to staff dealing with incoming client instructions via fax and post and distribute to respective business areas for processing.

Assist with the day to day operations processing for International Personal Bank clients with specific responsibility for the timely completion of the following tasks:

  • Assist in setting up new client accounts and carry out maintenance requests on existing accounts including Closures
  • Undertake all investigations within job role responsibility and close within agreed time lines
  • Checking/authorizing work produced by other members of the team
  • Close interaction with TCS EServe, Sales and Compliance for transaction processing, status updates, investigations etc
  • Management of documentation packs received from clients
  • Tracking of incoming requests in line with MIS requirements
  • Assist staff handling client instructions received through faxes and posts wherever required.
  • Monitoring client instructions for timely despatch to Sales and processing teams including end of day reconciliations of client communication.
  • Follow up on any outstanding issues by liaising with the referral officers offshore and Onsite Sales Support staff.

The ideal candidates will have experience of working in financial services and a good understanding of account Opening process, due diligence, KYC, regulatory requirements.

Candidate should have experience in handling client communication in earlier roles.

Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment.

General computer literacy (Word, excel, Outlook) desirable.

Candidate should have evidence of using effective planning and organizing skills in a previous role.
