Senior Contracts and Commercial Manager - South LondonThe successful candidate will be expected to lead contract negotiations with NHS England and London Borough of Croydon in excess of £45 million.
The duties of this role will include:
The management of projects ensuring clinical compliance across speciality areas.
Resolving complex coding and data issues with significant income recovery.
Costing of services.
Investigation of supplier contracts and identification of £700K in overcharges and managing recovery thereof.
Identification of unpaid service deductions due to missed KPI's and managing appropriate claw-backs.Work closely with members of the Finance team to ensure that the financial impact of aspects of contract performance are integrated into reporting systems, and that financial risk issues are highlighted at the earliest possible opportunity.
Work with host commissioning lead to ensure that the Trust's interests are preserved in contract negotiations with other Commissioning CCGs.
Act as a key stakeholder in discussions with the CCGs or their representatives to reconcile datasets and respond to CCG queries.
To work with the Contract Information Team to ensure that Trust datasets are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the CCGs in order to maximise Trust income.
Work closely with key CCGs and their representatives, other Commissioners and the Contracts Information Team to manage a coherent approach to the analysis and monitoring of progress against commissioned plans and delivery mechanisms.
Requirements of the Contracts Manager:
* contracts management experience at an Acute Trust is essential
* Background in negotiating high value NHS Contracts
* Proven ability to lead & chair meeting with high level board members & stakeholders
* Persuasive nature
* Stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience of making a significant contribution to an contracts function
