Description

6 month plus contract for an Enterprise server and network engineering/support (APM) analyst.
Minimum of 3 years experience implementing/administering enterprise monitoring tools
Minimum 1 year experience with Transactional Monitoring; Synthetic and Real Time
Implementation/administration knowledge of popular monitoring suites such as: SCOM, BMC Portal, CA APM
An understanding of local and wide area networks, Servers and systems; This should include, but should not be limited to, server platforms, VMware, network Switches and Routers, Firewall, Proxy, VOIP, IP SLA, Netflow, QOS, and various WAN services
Strong analytical ability with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand documentation and procedures pertaining to the operation of networks, Servers, and applications
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Administrative experience in one or more of the following areas: Windows platforms, MS SQL,Oracle, DB2, AIX, Linux ..
Protocol Analysis, network performance analysis, network capacity planning, and network troubleshooting a plus
Ability to generate meaningful reports from various data sources

Local candidates preferred.

Must be able to pass a 20 year criminal background check and drug screen
