PGDS UK Finance Business Partner

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Business Partner for a FTSE 100 Financial Services business on a 6 month maternity cover basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join a strong and evolving global business. The role will report directly to the Global PGDS CFO.

Key responsibilities:

- Providing key financial support to Executive & Senior Management Team (SMT) internally & externally

- Ability to work unsupervised and being able to make key decisions

- Building and maintaining relationships while simultaneously challenging those same individuals when appropriate

- Undertake detailed financial analysis tasks as required including review of project costs

- Ensuring the timely preparation, financial integrity and accuracy of MI & reporting to SMT and Group business with a £50m Budget

- Experience of dealing with a complex outsource agreement

- Working effectively with other members of the Finance team including the Financial Controller and other Finance Business Partner

- Assisting in the preparation of Annual Budgets and quarterly reforecasts

- Responsible for production of monthly management accounts

- Produce information for tax, auditors and Group Head Office as required

- To take responsibility for project work as and when required including attending workshops on new systems or products which will have a direct impact on finance and the business

- To be able to provide effective cover for other Senior team members

- Review integrity of financial data to ensure complete and accurate posting of transactions to the general ledger and the related accounting systems

Essential attributes and skills:

- Experience of working in an IT shared service environment is essential

- Qualified accountant with 5 years Post Qualification Experience

- Experience of working in a Senior Finance position

- Strong leadership skills

- Effective and proven written and verbal communication skills

- Can demonstrate innovative thinking in taking actions to improve performance and problem solving

- Ability to work to tight deadlines

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Maintain professional competence at all times

- Advanced Excel 2010 skills

Location

The role will be based in Central London.

Candidates must have flexibility to travel as required between office locations in London, Reading and Scotland
