Description
My client, a leading international Pharmaceutical company, has an opening for a Cost Management Accountant within their central Finance function. The candidate must have 2 years post qualified experience within a Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing background for this long term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- To prepare the monthly management accounts and submit the results via the head office financial reporting system
- To prepare and submit the annual business plan to the relevant stakeholders.
- To prepare and submit the monthly forecast to the relevant stakeholders.
- To determine cost of operations in ENB and EML by establishing standard costs and analysing variances as well as initiating cost reduction techniques.
- To prepare cost models which incorporate the effect of new product introductions, volume fluctuations and changes to the manufacturing and packaging strategies.
- To prepare monthly financial reports detailing actual results, variances, forecasts and commentary, plus any other business information.
- To record and analyse inventory levels across the different sites and perform inventory checks to avoid obsolescence and ensure the accuracy of inventory reporting.
- To be the cost accounting advisor for the business
- To develop and maintain the SAP ERP system to achieve the outputs as required by Group management.
- To support the European business decision making processes by collecting, analysing and reporting cost information
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years PQE
- Degree in a Quantitative subject
- Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical experience
- Self-starter, able to initiate, manage and complete tasks and projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Strong Cost Accounting experience
