My client, a leading Global Banking Institution, is looking for an experienced Strategic Analyst for long term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver end to end strategic analysis projects, through definition, data collection option/hypothesis creation and testing, recommendation and agreement with the appropriate governance and engaging with the relevant stakeholders, functions and SME's.
- Provide and coordinate industry analysis based on internal and external data sources, covering the behaviour of customers, CMCs, regulators, customer advisory groups, Regulators and Government.
- Assessment of the financial impact on the Group driven by strategic change and ongoing complaint performance. Ongoing role to deliver the calculation, communication and stakeholder management of appropriate financial provisioning.
- Project Pipeline management including engagement with key stakeholders to identify filter and manage the key strategic projects together with their prioritised time line for delivery of projects
- Promote standardisation, documentation and continual improvement of team methodology and approach
- Assess strategic implications of current business practices and proactively seek ways to improve rallying cry metrics, financial performance, operational effectiveness through the use of analysis both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Prioritise, possess strong time management skills, be assertive and focused on responsibilities to ensure effective delivery
- Take ownership of own development and have rigorous development plan in place to enable delivery to performance management objectives.
- Communicate clearly and effectively to embed business objectives, take ownership of delivery and being an advocate of the businesses values
- Provide and coordinate industry analysis based on internal and external data sources, covering the behaviour of customers, CMCs, regulators, customer advisory groups, Regulators and Government.
- Collate and create insight based on published data from other banking entities including provisioning disclosure
- Research published data from FOS/FCA in terms of comparative business performance
- Assessment of the financial impact on the Group driven by strategic change and ongoing complaint performance.
- Ongoing role to deliver the calculation, communication and stakeholder management of appropriate financial provisioning related to certain key areas.
- Development of methodology for estimation and reporting of the above financial liability
- Providing commercial insight and support on key decisions within the Customer Advocacy agenda
- Analysing business cases and supporting improving cases through the decision making process with high quality business case assessment.
- Leverage external and internal market research and insight to provide customer feedback to the overall programme
- Work with Finance, Risk and Governance on provision and cost related matters
- Work with independent internal and external auditors conducting audits
- Provide analytical information as requested by the ExCo, BIA, FCA/PRA, FOS, et al
Requirements
- Knowledge of the FCA/PRA regulatory framework relating to complaints
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Strategy and the supporting business processes
- Proven experience and delivery in the analysis, manipulation and interrogation of complex datasets to provide useful operational insight for Senior Stakeholders to aid their decision making
- Highly developed skills to prepare insightful management communications to a high standard with limited supervision
- Knowledge of the concept of 'Treating Customers Fairly' and how we can positively impact the business to consider this in all decisions.
- Mix of strategy, finance, marketing and data analysis skill-set
- Extensive proficiency in statistical data analysis to support hypothesis-based strategy development
- Blue chip corporate banking experience background preference
