Investor Relations - Vice President level

One of our large Investment Banking clients is looking for an experienced Investor Relations - Vice President level

Working in conjunction with the existing members of the Investor Relations team, this role provides Investor Relations coverage for approximately 10 UK Investment Banking corporate clients with the principal aim of enhancing the clients' relationship with existing shareholders and encouraging wider institutional interest. The role involves working alongside colleagues in UK ECM, UK Investment Banking, Pan Euro & US Equity Sales and UK Equity Research. Liaison with corporate clients at all levels.

Overview:
The UK Investment Banking Group provides a broad range of advice and execution to UK corporates, working closely with Industry and Product Groups. UK Corporate Broking is part of UK Investment Banking. All UK plc's are required to have a corporate broker

The Corporate Broking team acts as the interface between our clients and the institutional market place and provides a range of strategic and market advice at board level. Contact with key executives is very frequent and in many cases daily.

We provide a range services to maintain relationships and these include daily market intelligence, regulatory advice (extensive dialogue with UKLA and where necessary other regulatory bodies), share register analysis, investor relation services and institutional feedback.

The Investor Relations team works with the Corporate Brokers to ensure the appropriate communication of information and insight between a corporate client and the investment community.

Our main counterparties at our broking clients are CEOs, CFOs, IR Directors and their teams. Internally, we liaise regularly with the equity sales teams and after getting the appropriate approvals from the Research conduits, we also speak to the relevant research team, when necessary.

Responsibilities:
*The candidate will have an agreed list of clients, based around sector responsibilities
*Candidate will have overall responsibility for delivering the best possible Investor Relations support to clients, including:
establishing results dates and maintaining complete reporting calendar for all corporate clients
identifying key targets and interest, utilising a broad range of public and private data sources (familiarity with FactSet preferred), as well the input from the general sales, specialist sales and equity research team
producing annual IR plans and ensuring they are communicated to the wider client team and executed upon
assisting with post results roadshows, including logistical coordination, and any incremental management availability or bespoke targeting pieces
speaking directly to fund managers to confirm meetings for the roadshow and maintaining a complete log of responses on the target list to feed through to the corporate; seeking full reasons for any declines
liaising with joint brokers (where applicable) and negotiating the division of the targets and available time for meetings
establishing whether a presentation to the sales desk is required and arranging as necessary
speaking to the buy side following a road show to gather feedback and present a comprehensive & timely feedback report to the client
*Candidate will work closely with the corporate broking team and should feel comfortable working with all levels of the team
*Candidate will be involved in all targeting work for their clients and prospective clients in their sector(s)
*Candidate will be expected to be involved in all feedback pieces for their clients and should feel comfortable holding discussions with senior fund managers and analysts
*Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the share register analysis for a small selection clients and preparing Board-level documents (familiarity with shareholder reports preferred)

Key attributes required:
*Strong team player
*Ability to deal with clients at senior level
*Good knowledge of fund managers and the buy side
*Experience of providing an investor relations service within an investment bank preferred
*Acute awareness of compliance and the difference between the public and private side
*Strong administrative skills and highly IT literate
*Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
*Attention to detail
*Friendly, helpful and courteous manner
*'Can do' attitude
