Description

The Client:

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a KYC Analyst to join and complete a specific project on behalf of our team in North America, but based in London, Strand.

The KYC Analyst will execute steps to ensure that the Know Your Counterparty (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process is completed for Customer and Counterparties.

Responsibilities:

  • KYC reviews and complete the Customer Due Diligence
  • Perform the AML/CDD due diligence checks to verify the identity of new clients
  • Request and check the necessary company documentation
  • Share the understanding and knowledge of CDD requirements to the trader and other areas of the business
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate records to evidence all the above.
  • Assist in the handling of the day-to-day review process to ensure customer account requests are processed
  • Promote process efficiencies and strategies.

About You:

  • Ability to deliver on the accountabilities and responsibilities using sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical/financial skills and the ability to identify cause-effect relationships, patterns, implications of data, and be able to integrate pieces into a meaningful whole.
  • Experience in standard desktop tools.
  • Experience in compliance programs and controls,
  • Strong commitment to compliance with strong relationship and influencing skills and the ability to address issues.
  • Solid academic background, ideally with recognised professional qualification relevant to the area of KYC or Compliance
  • Trading or related industry experience (preferred).

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
