Our client, a pharmaceutical organisation is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Technical Buyer who has experience working in a production or engineering environment to achieve optimal purchasing results. This role is to improve procurement processes and to optimise contracts and agreements with suppliers.Excellent negotiation skills are required as well as previous experience in sourcing and procurement on a global level.

Job
This role is to take care of the entire purchasing process for (large) CAPEX projects. To participate in projects for business case development and market research, draft procurement strategies, commercial preparation of tender documents, coordination of tender processes, negotiation and contracting, commercial support during the implementation and delivery as well as the settlement of warranty cases.
- Guide CAPEX project implementation i.e. keys to trading conditions, mediate during job changes and further work.
- Ensure contract are signed. Agreements in process systems, preparation of reports as well as monitor and adjust delivered result of contractors / suppliers.
- Identify all potential procurement risks before, during and after the procurement process as well as defining and securing measures to manage risks.
- Select the best contractor / supplier for what has to be purchased by the studies of interest and competence in the market, applications for offers on the market, negotiation of quality and money and the realisation of the deal by closing a contract.
Job requirements
- Proven experience in technical procurement; experience in construction / civil / activities.
- HBO + / university level, preferably a vocational training as procurement
- Strong affinity with engineering or technical background
- Experience working project based
- Professional working style
- Ability to work and deliver in a pressurised environment
- Team player
- Ability to communicate with project managers and other project stakeholders (legal, finance, operations)
- Good communication skills in English and Dutch
- Excellent negotiation skills
