Description

The Client
Our client a leading charity of roughly £50 million turnover in size are looking to appoint an interim Financial Controller to support a newly appointed FD in the turnaround and stabilisation of the charity's accounts.

The Interim Assignment
The role will involve managing the organisations accounts team in London and manage the consolidation and group accounts. The role will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the finance team and ensure the accounting function is efficient and organised. The post holder will be expected to play an important role in helping shape the overall strategic direction of the finance function, working closely with the Executive Director to implement a new reporting and budgeting process.

The Interim Manager
Applicants must have years of experience of charity accounting and be fully familiar with SORP. They will be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing the day to day accounting functions, working in a turnaround/change environment, production of UK monthly management accounts and budgeting. Applicants must have strong financial technical knowledge and will be CCAB qualified. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience of working with Agresso
