Scope of Project: Driving the execution of Balanced Scorecard for all regions and develop 2016 goals

Travel: Some to Southern California

Job Description:

  • This position supports the Strategy Execution team and exists to drive the execution of sales strategies across all Sales and Account Management business segments in California, in support of the growth, retention and margin goals of the organization.
  • Key areas of focus include: 1). Collaborate with business segment and Health Plan leaders to execute and track sales strategies. 2). Convert strategy into action by managing the annual sales planning process and partner with business segment leadership to lead cross-functional implementation teams. 3). Ensure the development of performance monitoring balanced scorecards to track and report the successful implementation of sales strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop Individual Business Line balance scorecard to monitor performance of strategy.
  • Development of 2016 Individual Business Line goals by defining business results, initiatives, success measures and goal owners. Gain agreement and align goals with functional partners.
  • Develop meeting materials and facilitate discussions to ensure meeting outcomes are met.
  • Ensure correct functional departments are on board for implementation.
  • Raise execution challenges to leaders.
  • Actively participate in strategy group meetings and report out on goal execution status.
  • Work with various functional and regional partners to identify measures for each strategic objective on the strategy map.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years' experience
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and consulting skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic/systems thinking, effective team building, change leadership and results orientation.
  • Proven ability to determine key business issues and develop effective action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives.
  • Knowledge of sales process, consultative selling tools, and underwriting.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and ability to handle complex and multiples tasks.
  • Sets priorities and deals effectively with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • MBA
  • Analytical/understand how metrics can measure performance.
  • Consultative - be a thought partner to our Line of Business leaders.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Results oriented - drives for results and meets deadlines.
