Our client, a large banking organisation is looking to recruit an experienced credit risk manager to work on a large retail focused project in the city.
Role Purpose
To assist the Chief Risk Officer and the Credit Risk Manager in establishing a stable and forward-looking risk framework for the proposed Retail banking business in the Bank
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Establishing a Risk Framework for the new retail business
- Drafting and/or reviewing various policies and procedures related to Retail business such as Credit Policy, Mortgage Policy, Risk Register and Recovery and Resolution Plan
- Drafting the End to End process maps for retail business such as credit approval, credit review, limit monitoring and excess control
- Reviewing the revised Risk documents such as RRP, Risk Framework and updating them in the context of Retail business
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Educated to degree level
- Knowledge of, and previous experience in residential mortgages preferably with a private banking perspective
- Good Knowledge of the UK regulatory environment in retail banking
- Understanding of UK retail mortgage market preferably related to high end customers
- Understanding of other personal credit products such as Personal Loans
