Description

Summary:
  • This position is responsible for sourcing, ensuring a cost effective and timely flow of services, consumables items, spare parts, supplies, etc., which support all plants' requirements.
  • This position is also responsible for creating new vendors, cost reduction projects, overall supplier management and communicate with accounts payable to resolve invoice and aging issues.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain related Indirect material and Services vendor sourcing/selection, quotation analysis, price negotiation and process the purchase requisitions to enable the procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts, chemical items, office/business supplies, services, etc.
2. Provide support for administration of competitive bidding, negotiations and purchase agreements to sustain competitive position.
3. Identify productivity initiatives to improve business practices, reduce costs and negotiate to increase credit payment term.
4. Complete the entire Purchasing cycle by working closely with the Receiving and Accounts Payable departments to resolve delivery and invoicing issues including disposition of returned material to suppliers and Work with end users to resolve critical sourcing issues.
5. Sign Long term contracts under open POS for regular suppliers, keep track of these Contracts and ensure to renew them on time with more productivity.
6. Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, and supplier's reputation and performance history.
7. Maintain confidentiality concerning all pricing and technical information for Company items and those submitted by suppliers to preserve a positive business reputation and to obtain competitive pricing
8. Conduct purchasing analysis and keep track of cost saving projects and maintenance of supplier history and data files by maintains reports and documentation (PO's, vendor files, etc.).

SKILLS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with major in economics, management, finance, engineering
Experience:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years general work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years functional work experience
Competencies/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to quickly adjust priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as negotiation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and successfully complete multiple tasks within and across departments to meet established deadlines
