Senior CS Engineer

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company, for a Senior CS Engineer to join their business in the Netherlands.

Requirements
- Implement changes by administrate, analyze, plan, check, feedback (propose alternatives), test (rollback checks) and execute changes in line with change management process.
- Support GNOC in Resolve problems in root cause analysis and implement changes for CS CORE elements.
- Implementation, testing and modification of Roaming partners.
- Maintain contact with all national and international roaming partners.
- Incident management for Inbound roaming incidents.
- Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications in his domain.
- Responsible for the continuous performance of applications/systems by supporting performance management process with Transport & IP domain/element specific investigations.
- Responsible for operational acceptance new systems/applications.
- Advises management in improvement proposals.
- Support and manage improve projects.
- Coordination of tasks.
- Knowledge share within GNOC (WIKI updates, documenting workarounds, working procedures)
- When needed creates operational procedures for incident and problem management for in GNOC departments
- Reports/presents progress reports on above topics
- Responsible for assessing, validating and accepting of the Quality of new releases, new features, new network elements etc. and their impact on the Quality the network.
- Define acceptance criteria and perform acceptance of of new network elements and services integrated in live environment within projects
- Improve the KPI to achieve KPI SLA ( internal/external)
- Monitor network and system performance.
- Pro-actively provide input for capacity and performance planning processes
- Proactively detects performance trends, identify reasons and propose corrective solutions
- Proactively takes actions meant to contribute the network perception improvement
- Provide on request the expertise and adequate support on customer driven RFI&RFQ processes & operational Trouble Tickets
- Make sure the incidental capacity issues or network problems are addressed efficiently
- Leads E2E network service improvement task forces and projects
- Participate with expertise in various CS CORE oriented trials and projects.
- Supports manager in organizing, planning and improving team
- Should the severe CS Core Incidents, (triggering the Customer ER process) happen, accommodate the IM tasks from GNOC and support/ perform the field service.
- Should the ER process trigger the Crisis management process with DRP, actively acts upon the Crisis procedure and participates on implementation of DRP according to the SLA
- Cooperate with Customer on a Design/Tests/implementation DRP plans
- Available out of office hours on best effort base

Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent level gained by experience, in Information Technology/Electronics/Telecommunications/Data communications Engineering.
- Be able to judge on operational acceptance complex new systems / applications.
- Good understanding of mobile and ISP network architecture (GSM, GPRS, UMTS, IP, Internet).
- Mobile Voice Core (MSS, MGW, HLR&NT-HLR of NSN and STP of Tekelec, IMS).
- In dept knowledge of protocols: SS7, SIGTRAN, Camel, ISUP, MAP, H.248, Megaco., VoIP
- CCNA or equivalent.
- Network and performance monitoring.
- English language skills (good verbal and written).
- Experience with ICT operations and maintenance support.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in mobile and fixed operational support organization within the domains of CS Core and Number porting.
- Experienced in ITIL processes.
- Experienced in Project management at least at Prince2 foundation level.
