£45,000- £60,000 + Full Benefits

A £multi-million global leading Aerospace & Defence Manufacturer are seeking a Proven Senior Commercial Manager to lead the UK commercial function reporting into the VP Commercial.

This is an extensive commercial position working directly with the Divisional leadership team and providing contractual and commercial support to the division.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the UK Divisional focal point for bid approvals to ensure that the quality and timeliness of submissions is improved;
  • Actively support the bid teams, as required, in responding to RFI's or RFP's including obtaining necessary internal approvals, leading on complex and supporting Commercial Lead on group opportunities,
  • Ensure the effective adoption of Commercial Policy within the division and to contribute to the central development of Policy and Process
  • Refine the implementation of Commercial Processes with a strong focus on improving maintenance and management of contractual documents, governance and business returns;
  • Build effective relationships with Sales and Commercial/ Contracts teams and Customer Service teams throughout the division
  • Assist in developing strategy and policy relating to Commercial Governance and drive its implementation;
  • Provide organisational and cross functional advice, training, mentoring, development and guidance on Commercial Governance and other Commercial matters;
  • Leads/participates in Commercial Team improvement projects and initiatives;
  • Drafts, reviews and negotiates commercial documents such as Terms and Conditions, in support of internal & external opportunities.


Candidate Requirements:
  • Educated to a degree level
  • 5-7 years + commercial management experience
  • Aerospace & Defence background
  • Driven and ambitious personality
  • Able to liaise with legal teams and understand business financial models
  • A willingness to learn new technologies and product ranges
  • Proven negotiating skills, with the ability to achieve results
  • Resides within the Dorset location
