Capital Modelling Actuary - Igloo ModelA Leading Financial services company are expanding their Capital Modelling team and are recruiting for an Actuary Manager who will be responsible for the General Insurance aspects of Capital Management as part of the Capital Modelling Team and will need to have igloo software experience. The role is based in Bristol, but the client offers flexible hours and the ability to work from home.
Key Responsibilities for you, the successful Actuary Manager are the following:
- Management and running of the clients BAU Igloo model
- Set up and running the model for ICA and SCR capital reporting
- Support Internal Model Change project work with a focus on output validation
- Other analysis as required, for example investigating reinsurance treaties, investment strategies or product strategy
In addition to this the Actuary Manager position will involve frequent communication with both data suppliers and key customers of the model outputs for both the BAU and development models. The candidate may also be responsible for developments to the Igloo model and its surrounding processes as required.
Required experience for you, the successful Actuary Manager is the following:
- Qualified Actuary, or qualified through extensive experience
- General Insurance Specialist Strong track record of delivering quality model outputs and reports
- Good communication skills and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently and deliver according to defined plans
- Experience with Igloo software would be an advantage or/and Experience with large household insurance portfolios People management experience
