The Client

Our client a leading government department are looking to hire an Interim Audit Director for a 6 month period.

The Interim Assignment

The role will be responsible for the Internal Audit Strategy and providing a risk-based internal audit service across the organisation while acting as the interface with ExCom members and Board Committees. The primary role is to provide the Chief Executive with advice and opinions on the overall adequacy and effectiveness of the organisations framework of governance, risk management and control. The role also includes personal involvement in special investigations which are complex, large scale and/or sensitive.

The Interim Manager

Applicants must have experience of working as a Director of Audit with preference given to candidates that have central government experience. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate the ability to manage change effectively identifying resistance, building engagement and involvement and rewarding innovation. Applicants must be happy with working on a day rate but under PAYE.
