Operations Control and Data Analyst - Counter- party and Service Management

Department Overview

The Operations Control function is a key part of the Counterparty and Service Management (C&SM) function. Comprising of a team of product experts dealing with service escalations and case/task management. Primarily this involves managing day to day communication between our outsource service providers and internal clients.

The control function specifically supports both operational and regulatory controls within the team as well as the day to day support of client and security data.

Main Duties

Control

  • Managing daily service communications and escalations between our reconciliations and treasury service providers in ING Amsterdam and APTP (operational service provider) and internal clients.
  • Performing daily funding controls
  • Performing monthly account substantiation controls
  • Review monthly exchange and agent fees and charges as well as nostro interest charges
  • Performing regulatory monthly controls for the Transaction Reporting and Control function

Client Data

  • Set up, maintain and amend counterparty static data for both the GSF and Equity Markets business lines. Systems supported- Sophis/Sphere/Global1/Summit/Fidessa/Gloss.
  • Checking daily audit and controls
  • Managing daily service interactions between Gloss data service provider (APTP) and internal clients

Security Data

  • Set up, maintain and amend security market data for both the GSF and Equity Markets business lines. Systems supported- Sophis/Sphere/Global1/Fidessa.
  • Checking daily audit and controls
  • Managing daily service interactions with internal support and business lines
  • Managing services provided by data providers.
  • Support daily transaction control data exceptions and ensure trade data delivery to the FCA.

Experience

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in either security or client data with a strong emphasis on control.
  • Candidate should be educated to A-Level or equivalent standard as a minimum standard
  • Candidate should be proficient in MS Office applications Excel/Word - to perform ad hoc statistical analysis around break trends etc.
  • Candidate needs to display good interpersonal skills, and be clear and concise in written and oral communication (critical in dealing with operations stakeholders and senior management)
  • Candidate needs to be able to work as part of a wider team, and demonstrate a strong client service ethic.
