Description
My client, a financial services company based in Sussex, have an immediate requirement for a Group Financial Controller.
This role will report directly into the CFO on a day-to-day basis and have responsibility for year-end tasks including;
Reconciliations
Statutory Reporting
Group Consolidations
Solvency II reporting
This role will have a significant amount of interaction the Actuarial team for capital positions, income etc. You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of finance operations and teams, including all aspects of finance governance, policy and guidelines, operations, unit pricing, investment accounting, reporting purchase ledger etc.
A background in General insurance would be highly beneficial.
This role will require a combination of gentler, diplomatic consulting and a robust technical skill set. The role will involve taking the team through some cultural and organisational change and ensuring communication is maintained with the wider business at all times.
