Role Summary
Preparation of the annual Financial Statements and related Notes, liaison with external auditors and ad hoc Financial Reporting assignments.
Key Accountabilities
1. Year-end process:
- Supervision/Preparation of complex journals (derivatives, IFRS adjustment journals, analysis of foreign exchange gains and losses)
- Overseeing fixed asset process, including review of capitalised items
- Preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations
- Review settlement accounts and cashbook journals
- Other ad hoc journals and projects (such as process improvement, technical and new standards research) as required
2. Liaising with external auditors
- Providing significant support for the audit process
- Co-ordinating queries across the Finance department
3. Statutory accounts preparation
- Preparation of the year end accounts (both primary statements and notes to the accounts)
- Preparation of subsidiary accounts
- Assist with the assessment of the accounting implications of any exposure drafts
- Ad hoc accounting opinions on new products/transactions undertaken or planned
Essential Criteria

A good knowledge in IFRS and UK GAAP

Knowledge of US GAAP beneficial

Experience in external financial statutory reporting

Ability to work cross functionally across the business and adapt to changing circumstances

Must have group accounting/consolidation experience

Excellent Excel skills
