Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias

The RZ Group is currently working with a major player within a niche industry. They are looking to recruit a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical Bias to come and join their team based in Openshaw, Manchester. This role has come about due to the extended success of the business and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to further their career.

Main Accountabilities:

  • To provide a maintenance service to the site with a mechanical bias with additional electrical multi-skills. The position is a shop floor hands on role.
  • Respond to breakdowns, complete planned and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with machinery installations when required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current health and safety regulations.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Hold a recognised mechanical qualification.
  • Experience of hydraulic control systems essential.
  • Ability to dismantle hydraulic cylinders, identify and fit new seals essential.
  • Knowledge of three phase/single phase electrical supply.
  • Knowledge of production machinery AC/DC electrical control systems.
  • Previous experience working in a medium to heavy engineering maintenance environment desirable.

Pay: £10 - £14 per hour

Working Hours: 8am - 6pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 7am - 12pm (30 mins for lunch and 2 breaks per day for 15mins each. You will get paid for breaks but not lunch)
