Description

A Renewable Energy client is looking for a Consultant Onshore Substation Commissioning Manager to work on their offshore wind farm project. Our client is looking for the Consultant to be able to start this 38 month role approx. 1st November 2015, with the possibility of further extension.

Hours of work: 5 days for week, 10 hours a day.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on-time commissioning of the onshore substation ready for handover to operation
  • Establish and manage the onshore commissioning organisation within the full electrical scope installation, quality and commissioning of MV,HV and SCADA equipment
  • Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule
  • Co-ordinate commissioning activities with main suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Co-ordinate project commissioning activities
  • Secure quality of commissioning works and documentation
  • Report installation and commissioning progress/participate in commissioning meetings
  • Ensure that quality is within the agreed standard during construction
  • Ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to the agreed standard
Qualification:
  • High knowledge of commissioning an onshore substation
  • Background as a senior commissioning engineer
