Proteus Europe is searching for Mainframe Developer COBOL for a 9 Month+ contract role based in Brussels, Belgium.Language: Dutch or French with good knowledge of the other national language

Your New role :-
ICTs create programs, testing and implementation; the quality, usability and performance guarantee of integrated systems and play a reference role in the development environment to deliver quality systems that meet the known and predefined standards within the agreed schedule.
key responsibilities
1. System Development
Programs writing, improving and testing based on detailed analyzes; integration, regression and performance tests in order to verify the consistency and interaction with the other components of the applications.
2. Technical design
The functional analysis translate into a technical analysis to create a framework within which the system will be implemented and establish a comprehensive and documented technical analysis.
3. Acceptance Testing
The IT team to support the development of an acceptance test environment and user support in carrying out these tests; critically analyze the results and make any necessary adjustments (or having affixed).
4. Implementation
Implementation and follow-up of the new features (programs, parameterisation, documentation, ...), taking into account possible interactions with other domains and with the agreement of the business; providing technical assistance in the implementation of major projects.
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- A1 or university degree Computer Science or equivalent experience in a similar function
- Experience in drafting a technical analysis (preferably UML)
- Experience with development in mainframe environments (COBOL, PL / 1, DB2, Datacom, CICS ...)
- Knowledge of test methodology
Desirable Skills :-
- Knowledge of PRINCE2
- Experience with Enterprise Architect
- Experience with IKAN / ALM
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SCRUM
- Experience in insurance industry
